Castrol engine monitoring

We are seeking hardware that can perform live monitoring of two-stroke engines and interface with our AWS cloud. This can be any type of sensor or other data-collection device and it can employ any type of measurement methodology (electric resistance, acoustic, infrared, etc.); the goal is to be able to monitor customers’ two-stroke engines in real time.

Hull cleaning

To comply with the biofouling requirements by some Regulators, marine vessels must arrive at ports with “a clean hull”, meaning no biofouling or live organisms being present on the hull and niche areas. To solve for this challenge, bp's Shipping team are searching for solutions to prevent biofouling accumulation and settlement in these areas, that would remove the need for periodical cleaning with divers while vessels are in service.

We are using these hubs and campaigns to work with other companies to solve our most pressing challenges. We believe being open to ideas from outside bp helps us get to solutions faster, and in a way that provides open opportunities for companies of all sizes and from any location.

Our collaboration hubs are on-all-the-time webpages, where you can provide your company's details if you think you can support any of our core businesses. If you apply here, your details will be reviewed and we'll get back in contact with you when we have relevant opportunities. Our campaigns are usually run for 4-8 weeks. At the end of that period, the campaign page closes for applications. At closure we review all applications, feed back to all, shortlist, and open direct dialogue with shortlisted applicants.

Yes. You can do this by using the "Comment" functionality in the platform. When you submit a comment, one of our team will receive notification and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Yes. You can always go into the platform and upload refreshed/new documentation. In fact, we encourage you to do this, especially if your technology has evolved significantly since your original submission. Please keep in mind that only non-confidential information should be uploaded.
